Moths have something of a bad rap. They are seen as the creature that eats clothes and the use of Mothballs are required to stop them from decimating a collection. However, the humble moth is actually very good at pollination. It likes to hangout around plants as well and it soon picks up bits of pollen on it’s fluffy, hairy body that it then drops elsewhere. For the most part you shouldn’t need them where moths are concerned but if you do get an infestation then a Pest Control Chelmsford based company like https://www.stgeorgespestcontrolessex.co.uk/pest-control-essex-services/pest-control-chelmsford/ are on hand to help.

One of the most fascinating things about Moth’s is that they can live pretty much anywhere. The only place that you won’t find a moth is in the Polar region. There are lots of different types, some one hundred and sixty thousand have been discovered so far. Sadly for the moth they don’t last very long. Some only live up to a year after coming out of their cocoon. They also come in all shapes and sizes. The tiniest moth is the Stigmella Maya that has a wingspan of just one point two millimetres. Compare that to the Atlas Moth, it has a wingspan of twelve inches.

One of the most amazing aspects about Moths is that they are very clever at faking out other creatures. They can do “impressions” of other animals so that they don’t get eaten. Their wings make them look like less than yummy insects such as Wasps or tarantulas. They can even look like bird poo.
